   Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Global Airfreight Procurement and Pricing Managers to optimize global procurement and pricing activities
  • Creation and implementation of a strategic roadmap for HWL’s airfreight procurement & pricing rate management system
  • Responsibility for creation and governance of scope, standards and processes for airfreight pricing and procurement related topics, especially in rate management context
  • Definition of requirements towards software providers based on the strategic rate management vision
  • Creation of automated default KPIs and reports to monitor process compliance

 

   Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge in creation and monitoring of airfreight procurement & pricing processes, ideally on global scale, for trucking, local charges and airport-to-airport leg
  • Ideally worked in airfreight pricing and/or airfreight procurement roles in freight forwarding
  • Experience in writing and maintaining of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
  • Solid understanding of relevant airfreight procurement and pricing tools (e.g. WebCargo, CargoWise) and relevant business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Analytical thinking and affinity to working with interconnected IT systems
  • Basic Project Management skills and knowledge of relevant methods
  • Strong communication skills (English fluent), ability to act in intercultural environments and in a matrix organization
  • Team-oriented and open-minded work attitude
