Regional Airfreight Product Manager Healthcare (m/f/d)

The Regional Airfreight Healthcare Product Manager – Europe is part of the Regional Airfreight team WEUR, reports to the Regional Head of Business and Product Development with a functional reporting line to the Global Airfreight Product Manager – Healthcare.

The purpose of the role is to lead all airfreight healthcare business and product development with the region. The role holder will be the link between Operations, Quality and Sales teams at the regional, country and branch levels. Responsibilities will include the growth of airfreight healthcare business with current customers as well as the onboarding of new customers, hence contributing to the overall success of Hellmann Healthcare business and airfreight product. The role holder will ensure that appropriate support is applied to external customers, Hellmann internal operations, quality assurance department and Hellmann Healthcare sales teams.

Success in the role will result in all parties feeling that they are continually using a leading edge and optimized service oriented solution. The role holder should be seen as an internal consultant with respect to knowledge and know how for the movement of temperature sensitive healthcare products.

» Your Responsibilities:  

  • Manage, develop and expand the Healthcare Airfreight business, by providing cold-chain technical support to Hellmann’s Healthcare sales force and support sales teams by joining customer visits (when requested by sales)
  • Supply cold chain know how and technical support to Hellmann’s operations teams in Europe with respect to “best fit” packaging, lane selection, handling, supply chain partners and temperature controlled storage and other value added services. 
  • Support and consult Hellmann’s existing and future Healthcare customers in case of supply chain questions in close cooperation with sales and the operational teams, actively analyze needs for network and temperature controlled storage expansion to enable future growth.
  • Ensure that Operations and Sales teams in Europe are appropriately and regularly trained according to the global training matrix and content, and best practice is consistently enhanced and shared.
  • Establish and strengthen regional relationship with healthcare supply chain partners on a regional level.
  • Build up a knowledge database containing validation reports, brochures, presentations, case studies etc. to support the Pharma Product and Sales Team.
  • Provide support to Global and Regional pricing & tender teams during RFQs, ensure full understanding of customer requirements and align with internal processes.
  • Work with the Regional Quality Assurance Team to ensure all global/regional and local healthcare policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to.
  • Actively advocate utilization of SOP´s and Risk assessments as a must for operational excellence – and ensure they´re properly implemented. 
  • Support/own the implementation process of new and/or existing Airfreight Healthcare customers.
  • Own and drive specific Healthcare related regional projects

  • Enable stations to offer the optimal healthcare logistics, cold-chain, and packaging solution to clients
  • Optimize Quality and reliability of healthcare shipment within the network (less excursions)
  • Support sales teams to gain more healthcare clients and business
  • Ensure high quality standards within the network
  • Manage and develop station capabilities and ensure sufficient staff is trained as required

  

» Your Profile: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in transporting healthcare airfreight shipments
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare supply chain needs
  • Excellent knowledge of packaging solutions in the market (active and passive)
  • Robust knowledge of risk assessments and SOP management
  • Robust knowledge of CAPA process and GDP standards
  • Good knowledge of healthcare quality processes
  • Good knowledge of training methods and training experience
  • Good presentation skills – used to speak in front of audience (internal and external)
  • Fluent in Business English, preferably also in another language
